Coach Jeff Munier will be entering his 19th season with the Collierville High School baseball program and ninth as the head coach after leading the Dragons to back to back state tournament appearances and a school record 41 wins last season that included a final four finish at the State Tournament.  In 2019, Munier lead the nationally ranked Dragons to a 35-4 record including back to back District and Regional Championships. In 2018, Munier lead the Dragons to a Final Four State Tournament finish and a 37-9 record. The 37 victories at the time was the second most wins in school history.  In Munier's seven full seasons as head coach, the Dragons have produced 236 wins & 4 State Tournament appearances.  With all the success on the field, Munier was named the TBCA Sectional Coach of the Year after the 2016, 2018, 2022 and 2023 seasons.  Coach Munier was named Collierville's head baseball coach on June 6, 2015 after serving ten years as the programs pitching coach.  As an assistant, Munier helped lead the program to 5 state tournament appearances & the schools first state championship in 2013.

In 14 seasons of leading three programs, Coach Munier has a career record of (406-135) including 11 trips to the State Tournament in Tennessee and Mississippi.   Combined, Munier has been to the State Tournament 18 out of the 26 seasons he has coached at the high school level including two state titles.   He credits that to the many outstanding players he has been fortunate to coach and the two Hall of Fame coaches he has been blessed to work with, Phil Clark and Jeff Hopkins.

Following CHS's State Championship in 2013, Munier was named the pitching coach for Team Tennessee.  This team includes the states top players that travel to Oklahoma to play in the Jr. Sunbelt National Championship.  In 2016, Tennessee brought home the national title.  Munier has also been part of the TBCA Region 8 Showcase staff and is an active member of the Tennessee Baseball Coaches Association & American Baseball Coaches Association.

Munier brings a total of 30 years of baseball coaching experience to the Dragon Baseball Program.  As the head coach at Tunica Academy and Olive Branch High School, Munier helped turn around two programs while compiling a record of (170-63) in seven seasons.  He was named Division Coach of the Year five times, including two times at Tunica and three times at Olive Branch.  In addition, Munier was selected to coach the Mississippi High School All-Star game in 1997 & 2005.

Munier started his coaching career as a Graduate Assistant at Delta State University.  He helped lead the Statesman to two consecutive NCAA Division II Regional appearances. During his career, Munier has seen 57 of his players sign Division I baseball scholarships, 8 were named High School All-Americans and one was awarded Mississippi Gatorade High School Player of the Year.   Seventeen of those players signed professional baseball contracts, including former Dragon standout and MLB All-Star Drew Pomeranz (San Diego Padres).

After 8 seasons of leading the program, the Dragons have had 46 players sign college baseball scholarships.  That total has already increased, with 2023 commitments from Ari Bethea (University of Tennessee); Jack Lester (Volunteer State); Nate Myers (Union University) & JD Whitworth (Belmont University).

Munier's other passion is maintaining the baseball field at Collierville High School.  With the unbelievable support of the booster club,  Drew Lawrence Field was named Tennessee Baseball Field of the Year in 2010 & 2012 under Coach Munier's leadership.

Coach Munier holds a Masters Degree in Physical Education from Delta State University and Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education from MacMurray College.  At Mac, Munier played both baseball and basketball.  As a player, Munier was a All-Conference selection as a starting pitcher in 1993.  He threw the schools third ever No-Hitter on April 14, 1992 and still holds the school record for most 3-pointers in a game.

Munier is married to April Munier of Collierville, and the couple has four children, Sidney Hope, Maggie Grace, Emily Faith and Brett Ryan.  April is a 5th grade teacher at West Collierville Middle School and Coach Munier is a Wellness teacher at Collierville High School.
