Senior pitcher/infielder Kyle Dailey announced to the baseball staff at Delta State University today that he intends to continue his education and baseball career for the Statesman in Cleveland, Mississippi.

After helping lead Collierville to the programs first AAA State Title in 2013 as the teams starting second baseman, the lanky right hander will also be vying to secure a spot in the Dragons starting rotation in 2014.  The talented right handed hitter is coming off a breakout season at the plate where he banged out 35 hits in 115 at bats (.304) with 9 doubles and 1 homerun.

Last Spring, Dailey scored 34 runs, drove in 16 and swiped 12 bases to help pace the Dragon offense with a (.409) on base percentage.

Delta State is one of the premier Division II baseball programs in the country.  A member of the Gulf South Conference, the Statesman have advanced to the NCAA Division II College World Series 11 times, including 5 since 2000.

Coach Mike Kinnison and his staff are extremely excited to add Kyle to their 2015 signing class.  Dailey will sign his letter of intent during this years early singing period.
