Both teams were strong on the mound on Monday night, but Collierville (3-1) defeated Briarcrest 1-0 on Ari Bethea's dominate performance.  

Bethea (1-0) struck out 12 batters on the day.  The starting pitcher also surrendered three hits and zero runs over six and two-thirds innings while walking one.

A single by Ian Chambers put Collierville on the board in the top of the second which proved to be the game winner.

Jack Gleason took the loss for Briarcrest.  The starting pitcher went five innings, giving up one run on two hits, striking out 11 and walking two.  Cael Allen collected his first save of the season.

Jack Bogenreif led Collierville with two hits in three at-bats.  Chambers went 1-3 at the plate as the outfielder led the team with one run batted in.  Collierville was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error.  AJ Greene had the most chances in the field with 12.
