The Collierville Dragons rallied to defeat Tipton-Rosemark Academy Rebels, 12-7, on Tuesday after trailing by as many as six runs.

Tipton-Rosemark jumped out to an early lead in the bottom of the first inning. Connor Vowell singled to drive in two runs, Tristan Marcum added an RBI single, Duncan Hughes brought in a run on a groundout, Knox Holmes doubled home another, and a steal of home capped the six-run frame.

Collierville flipped the momentum in the top of the third, erupting for eight runs on three hits to take an 8-6 lead. The biggest swing of the inning came on a three-run triple by senior Jack Bogenrief.

Colton Cordell earned the win on the mound for the Dragons. The sophomore allowed three hits and one unearned run over five and one-third innings, striking out five and walking two. Vito Ofiara took the loss for Tipton-Rosemark Academy after surrendering eight runs (one earned) on five hits in three and two-thirds innings, with six strikeouts and five walks.

Eli Stewart started on the mound for Collierville, allowing four hits and six runs (one earned) while striking out one in two-thirds of an inning.

The Dragons finished with 10 hits. Josh Hull and Jacob Caruso each recorded two hits, with Caruso driving in a pair of runs. Jack Bogenrief also knocked in two RBIs. Junior designated hitter Preston Sumner drew two walks as Collierville displayed patience at the plate, finishing the game with seven walks.

Holmes, Hughes, Marcum, and Vowell each recorded an RBI for Tipton-Rosemark. Marcum led the team at the plate, going 2-for-4. Holmes added two stolen bases as Tipton-Rosemark Academy totaled five steals in the game.

Collierville returns to action Thursday at Lausanne Collegiate.
