Collierville easily dispatched Munford on Tuesday, 10-0 in 5 innings.
The Dragons got on the board in the bottom of the second inning after Hudson Snell singled, scoring one run, Garrett Stephens singled, scoring two runs, and Jack Bogenrief, coming back from injury, doubled, scoring two runs.
Collierville added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Eli Stewart hit a sacrifice fly, and Bogenrief singled down the left field line, each scoring one run.
Josh Hull earned the win for the Dragons. The senior allowed three hits and zero runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking three. Drew McCann took the loss for Munford. The RHP went one and one-third innings, giving up five runs on five hits, striking out none and walking one. Brady Sumner appeared in relief for Collierville and closed the door in the 5th inning.
The Dragons collected 10 hits in the game. Preston Sumner and Bogenrief were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits while hitting back-to-back. Bogenrief led the Dragons with three runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 2-for-3 on the day. Sumner paced the Dragons with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, accumulating six walks for the game. Collierville stole four bases in the game, with Houston Jenkins leading with two.
