The Collierville Dragons easily dispatched Parkview Christian Academy Falcons (IL) on Thursday, 11-0.
Collierville got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after singles from Preston Sumner and Hudson Snell, and a Houston Jenkins walk, each scoring one run.
The Dragons then would score five runs on four hits in the bottom of the second inning. Sumner drew a walk, scoring one run, then singles from Jacob Caruso, Brady Sumner, and Jenkins, and Eli Stewart was struck by a pitch, all driving in a run.
The Dragons added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Josh Hull grounded out, Ronnie Sims singled down the left field line, and Cameron MacDougall was struck by a pitch, each scoring one run.
Tyler Robinson earned the win for Collierville. The LHP gave up one hit and zero runs over three innings, striking out four and walking none.
The Dragons tallied 11 hits in the game. Caruso went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead the Dragons in hits. Jenkins, Hull, Caruso, MacDougall, Snell, Sumner, and Sims each drove in one run. Jenkins, Caruso, Sumner, and Garrett Stephens each stole multiple bases. The Dragons had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating seven walks for the game. Collierville ran wild on the base paths, tallying 15 stolen bases for the game.
Collierville will take on DeSoto Central on Friday at USA Stadium tomorrow.
